The Southeastern Music Academy is dedicated to helping students at all levels achieve their goals in a fun and encouraging atmosphere. As SMA student you will have the opportunity to learn individual and group fundamentals through large and small ensemble experience. Each Ensemble will have the opportunity to perform with a world renowned jazz musician as part of their educational experience.

Southeastern Music Academy Mission Statement
Vision: To Provide Music Education from developmental to advanced through a comprehensive curriculum that reflects the needs and vision of surrounding music institutions.
The Ensemble Studio Class and the Instrumental Studio Class are scheduled throughout each concert cycle. Please click the toggles below to learn more about our program:
Students will have the opportunity to apply the concepts and ideas of which they’ve gained through performance. All Ensembles will perform and receive comments from fellow students, faculty and other area educators. The Small Ensembles (Combos / Improvisation) are from 6 p.m. to 7:15 p.m., and the Large Ensembles are 7:15 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Students will be organized by instrument and will have the opportunity to focus on fundamentals such as scales, fingerings, styles, etc. These sessions will be led by the faculty as well as clinicians from the area. Other clinicians will range from college professors to touring musicians.
Each ensemble will have three concerts throughout the school year. Guest artist and performers will appear periodically throughout the year. Each ensemble will perform with a guest artist in at least one of their concerts. Performance schedules are organized into rehearsal cycles. Each cycle has its own objectives and goals for the students to attain. The information taught from each cycle is comprehensive. Subjects will include college auditions and applications, how to be a successful performer and educator, etc.
We welcome students at all levels: the process of enrollment begins with an on-line audition to determine placement in the program.
Upon acceptance into the program students will complete the enrollment process with on-line registration.
